Welcome, Ziva!
SEA LIFE Arizona welcomes the first rescued sea turtle to the state! Ziva, a green sea turtle, arrived at her new home in the desert on February 15, 2012 and has been on display since March 2, 2012.
In 2010 Ziva was injured by a boat off the coast of Florida. She suffered serious injuries to her and head and shell and was transferred to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center on Jekyll Island for rehabilitation. Even though her injuries have healed, she will never be able to live in the wild.
SEA LIFE Arizona offers this majestic creature a home in the 161,000 gallon ocean tank. She lives among sharks, rays and tropical fish and seem happy to be in her new home.
Ziva's best viewing hours are 10:00am - 3:00pm daily.
