Otter Oasis

In this habitat you can find Asian short-clawed otters.
The Asian short-clawed otter is the smallest of its kind and can reach 65 cm in length. They live in mangrove swamps and freshwater wetlands. Otters use their paws with great dexterity, have a thick, waterproof coat and are also good swimmers.

Otters under threat

The International Unio for Conservation of Nature onsiders thsi species as vulnerable. The main causes of the decline of otter populations are habitat loss, pollution and hunting.

When visiting rivers and lakes, always take your litter away with you and dispose of it responsibly.
