Primary School Tours
Embark on an SESE Curriculum linked journey of Amazing Discovery when your class visits The National Sea Life Centre, an all-weather aquarium on Bray’s seafront.
An all-new experience awaits you whether you choose our curriculum linked educational tours or our revised Discover Primary Science and Maths (DPS&M) program.
All of our options will provide your pupils with an interactive curriculum linked experience led by our Educational team: Participative (quizzes), Tactile (touch our starfish and crabs), Thought-provoking (Talks about amazing discovery in the underwater world), and most importantly…FUN!
OPTIONS
Lasting approximately 1hour, this visit to Sea Life will be coordinated by one of our educational team to include an introduction to the Amazing Discoveries of the Seas, a quiz, a touch pool session, and of course time viewing our amazing creatures.

Lasting approximately 1.5 hours, this SESE curriculum linked visit to Sea Life will be led by one of our educational team to include an Amazing Discoveries of the Seas guided tour where the pupils will learn about our creatures and their habitats. Following the tour pupils will be encouraged to test their newly found knowledge by participating in our Fin Facts quiz. Pupils will be presented with a SEA LIFE Certificate on completion.
Cost €6.00 per pupil
Lasting approximately 2 hours, this visit is recommended for participating Discover Primary Science and Math’s schools and is one of the steps to completing your schools Award in Science Excellence from www.primaryscience.ie. Split into two sections, the first hour is spent carrying out SESE curriculum based experiments linked with the science of the oceans. In the second hour, the pupils will be given guidance on Amazing Discovery in our seas before being sent off to explore the aquarium in search of answers for their worksheets. Teachers resourses are also providing for follow on activities in the classroom.
(Please note that due to the duration of this workshop, it is only available between September 1 and May 15)
