Gardaland Beach Clean
The event, organised in collaboration with the Town Hall and the Protezione Civile [Civil Protection] of Castelnuovo del Garda, was aimed at launching a message to sensitise young people: “Let’s save our beaches and our waters.”
To that end, a smiling army of almost two hundred people including children and parents mobilised in an effective ecological walk along the lake shores of Castelnuovo del Garda. Equipped with gloves and bags, the participants first collected trash such as bottle caps, cigarettes, candy wrappers and anything else that could be harmful to the environment, then they dumped the trash into separated bins for the follow-up operation of differentiation and disposal.
At the end of the operation, the children were given lunch in a small panoramic field at Lido, greeted by the happy arrival of the mascot Prezzemolo, who gave all the participants a present. The morning ended with a little institutional ceremony: all the participants, in the presence of the Assessor of Ecology of Castelnuovo, Maria Stella Grassi, were given a certificate commemorating the event, including an invitation to a second version of such an interesting event next year.
