Blacktip Reef Shark

The small blacktip reefsharks live in the Indo-Pacific. They have also spread to the Mediterranean via the Suez Canal. This is one of the most common tropical shark species. It lives in the shallow waters close to the shore and eats all kinds of prey. Generally harmless to humans but may snap at swimmers.

Size: 130-150 cm
Habitat: Coral reeves
