Marine Protected Area Competitions

SEA LIFE London Aquarium - Manta Week

Photo Competition

If we want to make sure our oceans are protected, we need to make a huge splash! This means as many people as possible telling and showing the government why they love British coastlines so much!

Why not enter our photo competition and show us why you love the British coastline!

This could be a fun memory from child hood, a picture of your favourite beach, a picture of some British marine life, whatever you love about our coasts!

The pictures will be displayed on our facebook page and created in to a giant photo album to present to the government along with the petitions and the overall winner will win four tickets to the SEA LIFE London Aquarium with a free Behind the Scenes Tour and a souvenir photo! (no age restrictions but children under 18 must be accompanied by an over 18)

The photo competition closes on 25th November 2012.

Poetry Competition

If you are 12 years or under, write us a 10 line poem telling us why you love the ocean or the beach and why you think we should protect it and be in with a chance to join Ocean Force, our exclusive team of ocean defenders who will help us to launch the project during an exclusive visit to SEA LIFE London!

Your VIP visit will include a tour from one of our marine experts, taking a look behind the scenes at how we look after our animals and a goody bag to take home, as well as the opportunity to lead our final Ocean Force superhero march across Westminster bridge to prove how much we love the ocean!

Remember to make your entries as exciting as possible; you can use bright colours, stickers, pictures, anything!

The photo competition closes on 7th Septmber 2012.
