Clownfish

Clownfish

Clownfish are beautiful little fish. They don’t like to stray too far from their home base – usually a sea anemone. They are also able to change sex, which the dominant male would normally do when (if) the female dies.

Things to Do

  • Spot the Clownfish hiding in the Coral reefs and displays
  • Watch how shy and secretive the Clownfish are
  • Look for the larger Clarkii Clownfish in one of the Shipwreck displays
  • See how the Clarkii Clownfish have become immune to the sea anemones in their display and like to nestle up in them
