Marine Conservation Module

This module will take an indepth look into the threats facing the marine envrionment and the actions SEA LIFE are taking to protect our oceans. This session will include a tour of the whole centre referring to examples of SEA LIFE's conservation work. Students will also be supplied with worksheets for after the guided tour.

Fish Care & Husbandry Module

The welfare of all SEA LIFE animals is of paramount importance. In this module students will learn all about different feeding methods, tanks set ups, filtration systems and much more. This module will include a detailed Behind The Scenes Tour, admission to the whole aquarium and pratical work which will include; a feeding session, demonstrations on water changes, salinity measure, temperature and water chemistry.

Fish Disease & Health Module

Students will learn all about the varying diseases that affect marine life and the preventative measures taken to reduce stress and illnesses. This session will include a detailed look into our quarantine and post mortem facilities. A dissection will be included to teach students about the internal workings of a fish and the areas most infected by disease.
