Please find below filming information relating to SEA LIFE:

At SEA LIFE we offer a unique collection of aquariums for filming or photography.

We are open to all ideas so please get in touch and tell us what you’d like to do. The first step is to fill in the Filming Enquiry Form. This will give you a chance to tell us all about your project. We will then contact you to either confirm details or talk to you about your needs and how best we can meet them.

All film and photography shoots are viewed individually and are priced at the discretion of the management. Here are some initial guidelines.

During opening hours (10am - 6pm, 7 days a week)

  • Handheld, battery operated equipment only (no tripods)

  • Maximum crew of 5

  • No areas maybe cordoned off

  • Per hour fee charged

  • Fee can be negotiated if the SEA LIFE Centre is promoted with a visual or verbal reference

Outside of opening hours (7am - 10am or from 6pm onwards, 7 days a week)

  • Fee set in relation to overall set up not on per hour basis

  • Fewer restrictions on crew & equipment as outlined above

  • Likely to incur additional fees to allow for early start or late finish. For example cost of late night accommodation for venue co-ordinators or extra travel costs

  • Fee can be negotiated if the SEA LIFE Centre is promoted with a visual or verbal reference

General Guidelines

  • For large setups & more involved projects you may be asked to provide full method statements and risk assessments directly relevant to the SEA LIFE Centre.

  • Payment must be made in full to ‘SEA LIFE Ltd' and cleared into our account before any filming takes place. Any additional hours over and above what is agreed will be charged at the previously arranged fee, invoiced accordingly and generally removed from the security deposit.

  • To cover any potential damage to the SEA LIFE Centre a bankers draft or credited funds into our account of an agreed fee must be produced before any filming takes place. This deposit fee will remain in our possession until we are satisfied that you have adhered to any rules & regulations outlined. It will then be returned. If a deposit fee is not given, then SEA LIFE Ltd reserves the right to refuse all filming due to take place.

  • Any equipment that requires using an electrical source from the building must be ‘PAT' Certified (Portable Appliance Test). All equipment must also carry a valid ‘PAT' sticker. On arrival you will be asked to produce proof of the certification and all equipment will be checked by our maintenance team
