WHO WILL YOU FIND IN THE ISO PENS?
Hello my name is Soyuz, and I am a female grey seal and was rescued from Sennen Cove on the 16th November weighing 14kg. I had a broken lower jaw and went for an operation at our Vets. My jaw has been wired together while its healing and I had to have some teeth removed, but despite this I am doing really well. Even though I am a little small for my age I am very lively and feisty.
Hello my name is Jupiter, and I am a male grey seal, and was rescued from Portreath at only 3 days old on the 19th November. I had been abandoned and as I was so young still had my umbilicus cord on. I did hjave swollen rear flippers but otherwise I was fine. I am currently on a little treatment and milk while the team observes me, they say I’m really cute! I am currently in isolation.
Hello my name is Supernova and I am a female grey seal and was rescued on the 9th November near Bude. I was only 2 weeks old when I arrived and had multiple wounds on my flippers. I also had a high temperature and an ulcer in the right eye, which did rupture but my eye remained intact. After spending time in St Austell I came to Gweek and saw their eye specialist Vet, after some anaesthetic I had my third eyelid and outer lid stitched together to protect my eye and prevent more rupturing. I have regular visits from the Vet and am on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs.
WHO WILL YOU FIND IN THE HOSPITAL?

Hello my name is Jeremy Paxman, and I am a male grey seal and was rescued on the 5th November at Pendruthen beach, St Marys. I was only 1 week old at the time and had been abandoned by my mum. I had no injuries but was put on a course of antibiotics as precaution. I am in the hospital and am losing my fur quickly, I love having little swims and am now off the milk and am being fed fish.
Hello my name is Crater, I am a male grey seal. I was rescued from Porthkidney Beach, Lelant on the 23rd October. I’m called crater because I have a massive gaping wound on my belly and was found severely dehydrated. The ‘crater’ is 4-5 inches long by 3-4inches deep, I also have big gashed on my body near my front flippers. One of my wound goes right the way around my body, they think it was caused by fishing line. The vet has high hopes for a full recovery so left cross our flippers! I’m was in isolation for a while but you can now see me in teh hospital, where my wounds are healing well in salt water.
WHO WILL YOU FIND IN THE NURSERY POOLS?

My lovely white coat moulted quickly and I love swimming around in the pool.
Hello my name is Leo, I am a male grey seal. At Boscastle harbour on 18th October I was found with a severe mouth infection and a broken jaw, as well as body wounds. I’ve been to the vets where they have realigned my jaw but it will take 4-6 weeks to heal. My lower back is covered with wounds which are being cleaned daily. I am being helped to feed by the staff as my jaw hurts but I am a fighter and hopefully once the pain goes away I will start to feed on my own. I am down in the nursery pool.
Hello, my name is Halley and I am a female grey seal. I’ve had a very adventurous start to life, first being rescued by a cliff abseil by the British Divers Marine Life rescue and Jess, she works here at the Seal Sanctuary. I still had my umbilical cord attached so they think I was about 2 days old. I was rescued on the 19th October and was very underweight, I had also been attached my adult seals. I am very noisy according to the team here and unfortunately am not eating fish for myself yet, you can come and see me make noise in the nursery pools.
Hello my name is Miranda and I am a female grey seal. I was found on the 19th September in St Just, with a severe swollen rear flipper, making it hard for me to swim. I’ve had a course of treatment for my poorly flipper, which was being cleaned each day and now it’s fully healed you’ll find me in the nursery pools. I’m a bit of a slow swimmer but I am eating for myself.
