On Monday 7th October, SEA LIFE London Aquarium hosted an exclusive, after hours, celebration of marine conservation and the stars thereof - An Ocean of Stars!
SEA LIFE London Aquarium opened it’s doors for one night only to run this exclusive event celebrating Conservation and the people that make it happen!
Representatives from Bite Back, Sustainable Fish City, Marine Conservation Society, Rainforest Concern, South Pacific Projects, Coral Cay, Thames 21 and a beach litter artist called Jane Rose all showed up to run stands and promote their work, and tasty sustainably sourced canapés were handed out to all guests, provided by the Fish Club, a fish and Chip restaurant based in Clapham Junction.
The evening kicked off with a glass of bubbly for all the guests and our divers doing a dive feed of our Ocean tank. Raffle tickets were sold with prizes including a Champagne capsule on the London Eye!
Throughout the evening Nicolette from Earth Sea Sky, David from Marine Conservation Society and Howard from South Pacific Projects all did brilliant and inspirational talks telling everyone about the great work they are doing and encouraging people to help.
Overall the evening was a brilliant success. We raised £1173 for Earth Sea Sky and have since received a lot of feedback from both guests and charities praising SEA LIFE and everyone involved in organizing the evening.
We are hoping this will become an annual thing… so watch this space!
