Every year over 70 million sharks are killed for their fins! Over the last few decades their numbers have been decimated by commercial fishing and shark populations are now in danger of being wiped out completely! As the oceans top predators, sharks have a vital role to play in the health of marine eco-systems; if we lose them the knock-on effects will be catastrophic.
Bite-Back is an energetic, innovative and pioneering shark and marine conservation charity based in the UK with a clear focus and a ‘let’s get things done’ attitude. With many victories already under their belt, Bite-Back works to capture the imagination of the public, media and even celebrity supporters to tackle these issues at the consumer and retail levels; campaigning to end the sale of shark fin soup in Britain, exposing UK retailers that profit from shark-derived products and inspiring them to stop, challenging the UK’s leading supermarkets to end the sale of vulnerable fish and changing the way Britain goes shopping.
Catering in London and the Home Counties, Eco-Cuisine use organic, free-range, wild, sustainable, non-gm and British seasonal produce and in 2007 they went Carbon Zero! They cater for weddings, christenings, parties, organic BBQ’s and dinner parties.
Eco-Cuisine are ‘passionate about organic and British food and running an ethical, eco friendly, green catering business.’
SEA LIFE London Aquarium is delighted that Eco-Cuisine will be catering for An Ocean of Stars! All fish served at the event will be MSC certified.
