Combining active, hands-on learning with fascinating educational talks and an opportunity to have an up close and personal view into our amazing aquatic world, a visit to SEA LIFE London Aquarium is an educational experience like no other.

Here are just some of the highlights:

  • 1,500 creatures including sharks, turtles, crocodiles, penguins, clownfish, rays and many more in over 50 amazing displays.
  • A spectacular walk under the waves in our 180º ocean tunnel.
  • Feeding demonstrations and talks.
  • Marine habitats ranging from rivers and lakes to deep oceans.
  • Will you dare touch one of our crabs or starfish in our two rockpools?

Early Years

Our early years programme gives young children a fun and memorable experience that helps them to ‘understand the world’ - one of the four learning and development requirements of the DfE Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Workshop for Early Years

Who in the sea could the best creature be? NEW FOR 2014
This interactive session uses live performance to introduce children to some amazing undersea creatures such as sharks and turtles. The performance includes fun activities for your class to partake in and help their favourite undersea creatures to discover the ocean.

Primary School (Key Stage 1 and 2)

Our primary school programme is perfect for introducing pupils to a range of scientific topics and encouraging excitement and curiosity about marine phenomena in the natural world. It has been designed to support several core elements of the National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 and 2.

Workshops for Primary School

Undersea Britain
Meet some animals from British waters and learn about the habitats surrounding our coastlines and the adaptations needed to survive there, then get hands on with some classification skills.

Key Stage 1 Commotion in the Ocean
Adding a 30 minute Commotion in the Ocean workshop is the perfect way to introduce marine life to your curriculum. They are led by our Education Team and include a mixture of games, hands on activities and group discussion.
