Annual Pass Restrictions
We no longer sell Gold Merlin Annual Passes but any current Gold passes purchased before March 9 2026 are still valid and still subject to restrictions.
Gold Merlin Annual Passes are not valid on the dates below in accordance with local school holiday periods, in addition to any public holidays across Australia and New Zealand.

Offer Summary
Customers who purchase a new SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Annual Pass during the promotional period will receive an extended validity period, with their Pass remaining valid until 31 December 2027, subject to the SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Pass Terms and Conditions and applicable restriction dates.

00:00 (AEST) on 18 August 2026 and 23:59 (AEST) on 9 September 2026 (the "Promotional Period").

Validity of Eligible Passes
A standard new SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Annual Pass purchased outside the Promotional Period is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
Eligible Passes purchased during the Promotional Period will receive immediate access from the date of purchase and will remain valid until 31 December 2027.
No cash alternative, refund, credit or substitution will be offered in relation to the additional validity provided under this promotion.
Existing Passholders - Customers who currently hold, or previously held, a SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Annual Pass may still qualify for this promotion provided they are purchasing a new SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Annual Pass and the transaction is not processed as a renewal.

• All Annual Passes are subject to applicable attraction exclusions, restriction dates, capacity limitations, pre-booking requirements and the full Annual Pass Terms and Conditions.

Availability and Promotional Changes.
Merlin Entertainments reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw this promotion where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including technical, operational or legal reasons. Any such amendment, suspension or withdrawal will not affect purchases successfully completed during the Promotional Period prior to the change taking effect.

Annual Pass FAQs
SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Annual Pass FAQs
You can purchase your pass here on the SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Aquarium website. As they are all digital passes now, you don't need to pick them up at the aquarium any longer. You will get an electronic version send to your Email once you have completed the online purchase.
Local Annual Passes are valid for 363 days from the date of purchase.
As they are all digital passes now, you will receive an electronic version of the pass.
Free entry is not valid for educational programs, ocean ranger program, functions, group bookings or birthday parties.
Does not include special guest animal encounters during holidays or as listed in the benefits above.
Local Annual Passes are not transferable.
SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast is closed on Christmas Day and ANZAC Day.
All existing or past SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Annual Pass holders are able to take advantage of the discounted renewal prices.
To renew your pass online you will need to select the renewal pass product option above and then enter your current/expired annual pass card number when prompted in the online ticket store. You will be issued with a new electronic pass.
Once a SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast Annual Pass reaches its expiry date, the Annual Pass holder will qualify for a special renewal offer provided that he or she renews their Annual Pass within 8 weeks of expiry and is able to present their expired Annual Pass when making the renewal. The Validity Period for the new Annual Pass will commence on the ‘valid until’ date of the expired Annual Pass.
An Annual Pass that is not renewed within 8 weeks of expiration will no longer qualify for the renewal rate and the full price of a new Annual Pass will be chargeable.
Merlin Annual Pass
All current annual passes remain valid until their expiry date, you may renew your pass to either of our new passes, the SEA LIFE Annual Pass or the Merlin Annual Pass and take advantage of the discounted renewal price.
The renewal discount is available to you up to 8 weeks after expiry of your current pass.
To upgrade to the Merlin Annual Pass you will need to renew your pass as a Merlin Annual Pass, you can do this at any time up till 8 weeks after your current pass expires. If you do this prior to your expiry you will not lose any days on your current expiry and these will be added on to your new pass.
We no longer sell Gold or Platinum Merlin Annual Passes, instead your gift voucher is now valid to redeem a Merlin Annual Pass - this is a fully unrestricted pass allowing access to the same attractions as a Gold or Platinum pass previously allowed!
Pre-booking is essential to guarantee entry during school holidays and public holidays and we reserve the right to refuse entry if capacity is hit.
Outside of school holidays it is still recommended to pre-book a timeslot to avoid disappointment.
Your Merlin Annual Pass is digital and there is no physical card required to be collected. All you need to do is show the barcode on your phone at the attraction entrance for our staff to scan and ensure that you pre-book your entry time
