How we can help

We want you to love the underwater world just as much as we do. By showing you how beautiful the world beneath the sea is, we hope to inspire you to help us protect this underwater world, for ourselves and future generations.

The SEA LIFE network not only allows millions of people to see how beautiful is the world's seas and oceans, but also plays an important role in protecting these waters and their inhabitants for the future.

Seal rescue centre

Dozens of sick seals wash up on the Belgian coast every year. These baby seal pups are in poor health, injured, exhausted and very thin. Without their mothers, these animals have very slim chances of survival. The SOS Rescue Team at SEA LIFE Blankenberge catches the baby seals and cares for them at its own seal rescue centre. After three or four months of intensive care, the captive seals are released back into the wild.

Turtle rescue

If we have enough space, SEA LIFE Blankenberge rehouses pet turtles who can no longer be cared for properly.

Beach Clean

Join us on 8 June for World Ocean Day. Let's clean up Blankenberge's beaches together!
