We’re going back to our roots as the Cornish Seal Sanctuary!
As we celebrate the future as the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, we’re taking a fond look back over the past with a nostalgic trip down memory lane.
We’re issuing an appeal to our visitors for any old photos, videos or other memorabilia from throughout our 54-year history to create a special gallery of past events.
We will also be joined by pupils from the local Boskenwyn Primary School on 30th March 2012 who will help us bury a commemorative ‘time capsule’ burial and commemorate the occassion.
The pupils and Sanctuary staff alike will be writing a few lines about their favourite Sanctuary resident, and to say what improvements to the Sanctuary they would like to see in the future and we want YOU to get involved.
You can pop by and say hello with your photos, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or post them to National Seal Sanctuary, Gweek, Nr Helston, Cornwall, TR12 6UG.
Together with some amazing vintage memorabilia, we will also be burying photos and a biography of our eldest resident Sheba. 40 year old Sheba is the worlds oldest living female grey seal in captivity, and is known as the Queen of the Sanctuary.
