We cordially invite you to help us celebrate our Diamond Anniversary!
To celebrate this incredible milestone, we are heading right back to 1958 and would love to invite you to celebrate with us on Saturday 1st September; with entertainment, food, talks and demonstrations – as well as holding a silent auction in order to raise money to help us continue with our rescue work. Not only this, but we will be launching 1st September as the first National Seal Day; an annual day to honour everything about British seals.
60 years ago, our founder Ken Jones took a walk along the beach that would change not only his family’s life, but the lives of thousands of seal pups. During his walk, Ken rescued a pup that had been separated from its mum and desperately needed help, so beginning the life of the Cornish Seal Sanctuary; a charity dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of seal pups, who have rescued over 3000 pups since that day.
We would love to see you there to help us commemorate the Jones family, who pioneered seal rescue around the world, and celebrate 60 years of seal rescue and the work that is undertaken every day at our stunning location on the Helford Estuary.
1950’s British fancy dress encouraged! Festivities begin at 4pm and end at 8pm.
