Did you know...?
- Regardless of the name, millipedes do not have a thousand feet, and only a few specimens have several hundred legs.
- Millipedes are herbivores and very undemanding. The soil with half-rotted leaves and wood as well as the occasional fruit is usually sufficient for them to eat.
- Individual cases are known in which there was a mass reproduction of the millipedes and these were a real nuisance. The reasons for this were mild temperatures and favorable food deposits.
