Carlos the guitarist with finns arrived in Jesolo
SEA LIFE Jesolo welcomed the guitar shark Carlos into his choreographic ocean tank. He came from SEA LIFE Hannover, in Germany.
The name, a gift to the famous guitarist Carlos Santana, promises a spectacular future for this 5 years old Rhinobatus Tibus, of 1.70 cm long,18 kg weight.
He was moved from Hannover because that tank was not more big enough to contain him. “Carlos arrived in Hannover when he was little, but then he grow up and that tank, althought it’s big, it was not enough for him anymore” explain Valerio Pacetti, SEA LIFE’s displays Supervisor.
This guitar shark is a shallow-water specie commonly found in the eastern Pacific, he usually lie partially buried on sandy or mud bottoms and is considered harmless to human. In fact, he learn immediately to hide himself behind the corals and the sculptures, so he can think about his new records.
A new inhabitant in SEA LIFE Jesolo, a real “artist with fins”, that will entertain the ocean tank and all the people coming to see him.
