Dear visitors, the SEA LIFE Königswinter is closed until the 20.12.2020.

If you have already booked tickets for this period, please contact slckoenigswinter@merlinentertainments.biz, stating your booking number and your desired alternative visit date.

Even though we hope to be back soon it is not sure yet if we will be able to open again from 21.12.2020. As soon as we have news about this, we will reactivate the tickets for visits before 07.01.2021 and open our attraction accordingly. We will keep you informed via our website and our social media channels.

As a contribution to the containment of coronavirus, we have introduced strict capacity limits. Thus, we can only guarantee a visit for dated online tickets or reservation tickets for e.g. annual ticket holders. Without these, there may be a longer waiting period on site and we cannot guarantee the visit.

The entrance ticket entitles you to visit the attraction. The price already includes the reservation of a time slot, which must be selected during the booking process.

For annual ticket holders as well as for all other types of pre-booked tickets & discount vouchers or free tickets, we can only guarantee admission if an appropriate time slot has been reserved. This is done with the reservation ticket. This is the only way we can really guarantee an entrance on site.

To do so, you have to select the respective type of ticket and then present e.g. the annual ticket or free ticket at the time window reservation.

It is also possible to redeem the coupon at the entrance ticket. To do so, please enter the number or the corresponding name in the booking process under "Action code".

Days on which the center is closed or already booked out are grayed out in the booking process and cannot be selected.  In this case please book tickets for another day.

To control capacities we offer online so called time window tickets. At each time slot we only allow a certain number of guests to enter our attraction to ensure that the minimum distance between all guests can be maintained at all times. On site, your ticket is scanned contactlessly by our staff, either from your cell phone or printed out through a window/foil curtain.

Please make sure that the date and time are correct when you make your booking and be at the entrance at the time of the time window. Due to strict capacity management, we cannot guarantee a later entry.

If your desired date/time window is no longer available, the maximum capacity in the time window has been reached. For your own safety you have to choose another time slot.

You still have the possibility to buy tickets on site at the box office. In this case we ask you for a cashless payment.

SEA LIFE Events

Due to the changed conditions caused by the coronavirus, we had to change our already published event plan for 2020. If you have been looking forward to certain theme weeks - these are not completely cancelled, but will be postponed by a few months. We are happy that we were able to have positive discussions with our partners here. As soon as concrete alternative dates are fixed, we will announce them here.

Exactly when the respective replacement date will take place will be decided in the next few weeks. We will keep you informed via social media and on our homepage about the latest developments. We ask for your understanding that we might have to postpone the date to 2021. Since our events and theme weeks live especially through the interaction between our visitors and employees, plans, time frames and concepts will be adjusted here.

Under these special circumstances, we will extend all SEA LIFE Annual Passes that are active in the period after March 17, 2020 at no extra charge. Your SEA LIFE Annual Pass will be extended by, depending on the final closing time of our attractions, for example:

5-8 weeks closed: extension by 2 months
Closed 9-12 weeks: Extension for 3 months
The closing time of the attraction, over which the SEA LIFE annual ticket was bought, applies.

We will take care of this extension for you. The extension will be done automatically in the ticket system, so you don't have to worry about anything. It is not necessary to print out the SEA LIFE Annual Pass again. The new expiration date of your SEA LIFE Annual Pass is automatically stored correctly in the system.

All SEA LIFE annual season tickets sold so far remain valid. The validity of the SEA LIFE Annual Pass begins only on the day of redemption of the online ticket on site at the respective attraction.

Due to the temporary closure of the attractions we will extend the redemption period of the Online Ticket from originally 120 days from the date of purchase in our SEA LIFE Aquariums:

After reopening of our attractions you will have another 6 weeks to redeem your Online Ticket on site.

Please note that you can only redeem your Online Ticket in the SEA LIFE Aquarium where you purchased your Merlin Annual Pass online.

For SEA LIFE Annual Passes that expire during the temporary closure, we have adjusted the options for renewals. We offer you to extend your annual tickets up to one month after the reopening of the respective attraction at the regular extension price.

A new card will be issued upon renewal. The new expiration date of your SEA LIFE Annual Pass will then depend on the day you renew.

A later renewal or use of the SEA LIFE Annual Pass is unfortunately not possible.

The new SEA LIFE Annual Pass can be picked up within one month after the reopening of the attraction. A new card will be issued upon renewal. The new expiration date of the card depends on the day of collection.

Please note that the SEA LIFE Annual Pass can only be picked up at the attraction where the renewal was made online.
