White Tip Reef Shark
Loch Lomond SEA LIFE Aquarium has added to Scotland's largest collection of sharks with our white tip reef sharks. That's right, next time you visit you can come face to face with these amazing creatures in our Tropical Ocean tunnel.
White tip reef sharks inhabit the tropical coral reefs of the Indian and Pacific oceans. These sharks are mainly active at night, resting in caves or under coral shelves during the day. This species feeds mainly on fish, octopus, spiny lobsters and crabs.
Although the white tip reef shark is rarely aggressive towards humans, these cheeky sharks have been known to try and steal fish caught by spear fisherman. Luckily at SEA LIFE our sharks are fed every second day so there's no chance of them trying to steal your lunch!
