The Big Draw is the world’s biggest drawing festival with thousands of enjoyable, drawing activities which connect people of all ages.
This year’s Big Draw festival is a great opportunity to inspire children’s imaginations around the theme ‘Every Picture Tells A Story’.
Here at SEA LIFE Loch Lomond, we want to take that inspiration a step further - and get children thinking about the oceans and the multitude of creatures that live within them. We’re inviting local schools to encourage pupils to enter this very special drawing competition. It’s not just a chance to unleash their creativity, but they could win a free trip to SEA LIFE Loch Lomond for their whole class too.
Here’s how it works.
The theme for this year’s festival is ‘Every Picture Tells A Story’ so we’d like children to tell their story of the ocean under the SEA LIFE theme of ‘A Drop In The Ocean’. Plenty of room for their imaginations to take
A drop in the ocean? Let’s see. Did you know that there are more than five trillion pieces of plastic floating in the world’s oceans right now? Together they weigh as much as two large cruise liners. How can one child help?
Let’s say they’re walking along the beach and instead of collecting shells, they pick up litter. Would that really help? It’s just a drop in the ocean after all.
Now imagine if every child on the beach did the same thing. How about every beach in the country? How about every country in the world?
Now you can inspire children to get involved.
Entries must be received by 6th November and the winner will be announced 13th November
