Catch was honoured with the Fish2Fork sustainability award in February 2012, named as the top sustainable seafood restaurant in London.
Chef Martin Scholz joined the Andaz team following a number of roles at hotels across the Middle East and Europe, including the Grand Hyatt, Doha, honing his culinary skills across kitchens in some of Germany’s leading hotels such as the Grand Hyatt Berlin
Scholz has been inspired by the ongoing British passion for seafood and the abundance of locally-sourced ingredients available in the British Isles. Since joining the Andaz team he has spent time ensuring ingredients such as oysters from Kent and Essex, Cornish sea trout and Scottish Gigha Island halibut are all sourced locally.
Dishes feature pacific kingfish, razor clams and pike perch, offering diners a taste of exotic and less well-known varieties of seafood. Other signature dishes on the menu include ‘Smoked and Cured Cornwall Sea trout’, ‘Barley Crumble and Saffron Pear’, an innovative take on traditional ingredients such as barley. Another chef’s classic is steamed “Gigha island” halibut accompanied by coppa ham, truffle jus and Jerusalem artichoke.
Diners can also indulge in the crustacean bar and plateaux de fruit de mer, an extravagant selection of the finest seafood fresh from the market.
Catch Restaurant features Grade II listed interiors, providing diners with a dramatic visual backdrop, and strong sense of grandeur and history. In the grandiose setting of two beautifully restored rooms, the elegant, 70-seat dining room includes a dramatic 50-seat horseshoe Champagne bar clad in aquamarine and silver mosaic.
