On The Day

Yes you can take photos in the centre, to help remember your day, however we do not permit the use of any flash photography as this can scare, harm and even blind our creatures. Don't forget to share these with us via Facebook or Twitter, we'd love to see them!

Am I allowed to take photos in the centre?

It does depend on the day, but generally SEA LIFE Manchester is quietest after 3pm.
Like any popular attraction we have to limit the number of guests at any one time. The best way of ensuring your place is by booking your tickets in advance (if booked 24 hours or more in advance, it will cost less too)!

What is the best time to visit?

SEA LIFE Manchester is suitable for everybody however if you are under the age of 14 you will need to be accompanied by an adult aged 18 and above. You may be asked to produce I.D. upon arrival to prove your age so please ensure you have this handy to avoid disappointment.

Can children visit the centre without an adult?

Unfortunately tours are currently only available with our Birthday Package; however our educational talks and feeds take place throughout the day and are included in the price of admission.

Behind The Scenes tours are also available for any visit for an additional £3 per person.

Are visits guided?

Unfortunately we don't have a café. Vending machines and seating are available by the soft play area near our Tropical Ocean. Guests are welcome to get their hand stamped at admissions to exit the centre and re-enter at a later point during the day. Last admission into the attraction is 6pm daily.

Is there a café?

Free car parking is available all day at the Barton Square car park just outside the centre. Follow signs to SEA LIFE and Barton Square from the road.

Is there a car park?

Yes, we are fully accessible for disabled visitors and wheelchair users. Restrictions may apply to our SeaTREK® experience, please see the SeaTREK® webpage for further details.

Is the centre suitable for disabled visitors / wheelchair users?

We are pushchair friendly, with good baby-changing facilities, although unfortunately we do not have a crèche or sell baby food.

Please note that children under the age of three enter the attraction for free.

What about children younger than three?

Yes, we ensure that there are always staff members at SEA LIFE Manchester who are trained in first aid.

Are your staff first aid trained?

The typical visit takes 1 hour; however this depends completely on you and how long you would like to enjoy our underwater world. Tickets are valid all day and the majority take advantage of this and return throughout the day by getting their hand stamped at admissions. Last entry into the attraction is at 6pm daily.

How long does it take to see the attraction?

Yes, we accept promotional vouchers for SEA LIFE. Please read all terms and conditions on the voucher itself thoroughly prior to your arrival as date exclusions may apply. Vouchers and promotional deals can only be used when purchasing full priced adult tickets on the day here at the aquarium. Vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with any online or telephone bookings and cannot be used with any other promotional offers or deals.

Do you accept promotional vouchers?

There is no disabled rate but if you are registered disabled you will be entitled to admit one free carer with you. Please ensure that you bring documentation with you on the day such as your blue badge, DLA Letter or note from a doctor or specialist. If you are booking in advance, you do not need to book a ticket for your carer.

Is there a disabled rate available for admission to the centre?

If you can't bring a print out of your confirmation email then please make sure you write down the booking reference number and bring this with you along with some ID and the card used to make the booking.

I've booked online but can't print out my confirmation, what do I do?

If you work for one of our corporate discount partners, such as the NHS, you are eligible to receive a discount on our admissions price. Your employer will inform you of your eligiblity. To be able to receive this discount you need to phone 08712 224 001 and book your visit in advance. The discount cannot be obtained unless a booking has been made via this number.

My company receives a corporate discount, what do I need to do?

There are 2 types of Tesco vouchers currently in circulation that you can swop Clubcard points for - a part payment voucher (£5, £10, etc.), and a specific Sea Life voucher that can be exchanged for a ticket. From 1st January 2013, we will only be accepting the specific Sea Life voucher, and not the part payment vouchers. Neither voucher can be used in conjunction with any other promotional voucher, ie. 241, Kids Go Free, etc.

Do you accept Tesco vouchers?

For a ticket only, the individual price is £16.95. For groups of between 2 - 9 people, the price is £14.95 each. Please see our Ticket Prices page for information.
