Midas Cichlid

  • The larger the bump on a Midas Cichlid's head, the more attractive he is to his mate!
  • Cichlids have one nostril on each side of their head, while most fish have two on each side.

Tiger Shovelnose Catfish

  • Tiger Shovelnose Catfish are nocturnal!
  • These Catfish can grow to be up to 4 feet long

Spiny Softshell Turtle

  • Unlike most other turtles, the Spiny Softshell Turtle has a shell that lacks bony plates.
  • They can absorb oxygen through their skin!
