Seal Rescue

The Scottish SEA LIFE Sanctuary, Oban have a busy seal rescue and rehabilitation programme in place to help injured and abandoned seal pups found along the Scottish shoreline.

seal rescue

We go out and rescue seals, bring them to the Seal Rescue Centre for treatment then release them back into the wild. Without this help many seals would die or be left too unwell to survive.

The team at the Scottish SEA LIFE Sanctuary work around the clock with young seal pups who need feeding every 4 hours. As it costs over £1,500 to rescue, rehabilitate and release 1 seal pup we carry out as much fundraising as we can to ensure we can continue our valuable work.

The Scottish SEA LIFE Sanctuary is working with SEA LIFE to ensure the conservation of the marine world. The main focus of the Scottish SEA LIFE Sanctuary is the rescue and rehabilitation of seals. Just by visiting us, you are supporting this great cause, but if you want to help more, getting involved in our beach cleans will have a huge impact on helping these animals to survive in the wild.
