14th July 2015
As guests meandered through our iconic aquarium surrounded by Sea Turtles, Sharks, Seahorses and more, they were offered a free glass or two of bubbly, delicious, sustainable canapés provided by Eco Cuisine and the chance to enter our tombola and win (amongst other things) a Champagne Experience on the London Eye or a Snorkel with Sharks Experience here at London Aquarium.
With a host of some of our favourite marine and local conservation charities in attendance there was plenty to see and talk about.
Talks took place in our Ocean Area; Alice Hall from Thames21 gave a great insight into some of the fantastic local conservation work and research taking place on our very doorstep! The Shark Trust’s Ali Hood also took to the stage to present an update on the ‘No Limits? No Future!’ campaign which is sponsored by the SEA LIFE Trust and was launched at last July’s An Ocean of Stars. Guests were also treated to a short film made by our very own Senior Aquarist Matt Haworth showing a selection of incredible macro-footage of some of the smaller residents around the aquarium; from our Mantis Shrimp to Coral Polyps to baby Bangaii Cardinals!
All of the money raised on the night through ticket sales and the tombola went to the SEA LIFE Trust. Thank you to all of the fabulous charities that attended this July’s event, making it an inspiring and enlightening evening. We look forward to the next An Ocean of Stars in November!

However as soon as the site is handed over to us, we will be ready to proceed with getting the attraction opened as quickly and safely as possible.
