About the spiny lobster
These beautiful animals live in steep rocky slopes, in about 50 to 300 m depth in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. The bodies of the 40 to 50 cm big animals are often spiny. The arrangement and number of thorns is of great importance for the differentiation of the genera and species.
