Bowmouth Guitar Sharks
SEA LIFE Blackpool is home to the UK’s only pair of Bowmouth Guitar Sharks. Betty and Boris live in our 500,000 litre ocean display and you can come face to fin with them by walking through the amazing underwater tunnel and spot them swimming together.
Known as a Ray Shark, the Bowmouth Guitar Shark is highly distinctive with a wide thick body, a blunt snout and a large shark-like dorsal and tail fins. When you see them swimming above you, you will notice that the shape is similar to that of a guitar!
Don’t miss feeding time with Betty and Boris at 2:30pm daily
