Join Little Grey and Little White on their journey
SEA LIFE TRUST is delighted to announce that thanks to a generous donation from Merlin Entertainment, we have established the world's first Beluga Sanctuary in Iceland!
In early 2019, two former captive beluga whales, Little White and Little Grey, will begin their epic 6000 mile journey that will take them from the Shanghai aquarium to their new ocean home in the exquisite bay of Iceland.
This momentous event will mark the first time that captive belugas will be released into an ocean sanctuary. Thanks to the support of our project partners SEA LIFE, Merlin Entertainments and Whale and Dolphin Conservation, Little White and Little Grey are able to make this important journey.
All of us who fight for the well-being of whales and dolphins hope that this event will be a signpost to a better future for these wonderful animals.
