From 18 July to 9 August 2026, SEA LIFE Porto will be hosting another edition of its Summer Festival, an experience specially designed for families and children looking for educational and fun activities during the school holidays. Under the theme “Rock, Paper, Treasure”, the event combines play, creativity and environmental awareness in a programme packed with interactive experiences.

Summer Activities for Children at SEA LIFE Porto ☀️

During the festival, visitors can take part in various themed activities, designed to spark the imagination of the little ones and encourage them to discover the marine world. All activities take place daily between 2 pm and 6 pm and are included in the aquarium visit.

Traditional Games with Pirates 🏴‍☠️ – 18 to 24 July

The first week of the festival transforms the outdoor area at SEA LIFE Porto into an adventure playground, where pirates invite families to take part in traditional games. This activity fosters moments of intergenerational bonding, combining fun, tradition and sustainability.

Creative Paper Workshops 🪁 – 25 to 31 July

In the second phase of the event, children can give free rein to their creativity through workshops where they make figures inspired by the aquarium’s marine animals. Using paper as their main material, participants explore concepts of recycling and sustainability whilst creating their own works of art.

Stone Painting for the Penguin Harbour 🐧🎨 – 1–9 August

The final stage of the festival invites visitors to decorate stones that will later be incorporated into the refurbished Penguin Harbour, home to Douro the penguin and his family. The activity aims to raise children’s awareness of nature conservation through artistic expression and active participation.

Giant Inflatable Shark and Prizes for Families 🦈

Throughout the festival, a giant inflatable shark promises to be one of the main attractions for children. During their visit, participants are challenged to write a message about protecting the oceans, contributing to a collective initiative to raise environmental awareness.
