Book your exclusive behind-the-scenes tour and take a peek behind the scenes at SEA LIFE Scheveningen. Find out all about the technical challenges, the animals and fascinating anecdotes from the underwater world. Accompanied by our staff, you’ll go on an exploratory tour of our animal keepers’ working environment.
You can book tickets for your Behind the Scenes Tour directly online. To do so, first add your desired ticket to the cart, and then select the upgrade for your BTS experience during the rest of the booking process!

- A 30-minute guided tour with our staff behind the scenes
- A glimpse into the workplace of our aquarists, including the feeding kitchen, the ocean tank and the filtration system
- The Behind the Scenes ticket can be added when purchasing a regular admission ticket.
- We recommend starting your tour of the aquarium around 60 minutes before the Behind the Scenes Tour begins.
- You may re-enter the aquarium after the tour has finished.
- Tours take place at fixed times. If you are late, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to join the tour.
- The meeting point for the tour is next to the Virtual Reality area. The meeting point is indicated by signs.
- Children and young people under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult when visiting SEA LIFE Scheveningen and taking the Behind the Scenes tour.
- Participation in the Behind the Scenes tour is only possible in conjunction with a visit to SEA LIFE Scheveningen.
