There is a suitable educational programme for every age group. The interactive lessons are tailored to the pupils’ experiences and make learning tangible, active and fun.

PRESCHOOLERS: EXPLORING WITH THE PENGUINS
How do you recognise a penguin? What belongs on the beach and what doesn’t? And how do penguins walk on two legs?
During this interactive lesson, nursery children practise counting, moving around and recognising rubbish. The lesson takes place next to the penguin enclosure, so the children can get a close-up look at these remarkable animals straight away.
PRIMARY SCHOOL: SHARKS AND RAYS
Pupils discover where sharks and rays live, what they eat and what special characteristics they have. Did you know, for example, that sharks have a sixth sense and a cartilaginous skeleton?
Using a worksheet, the pupils set off to explore the aquarium for themselves. In this way, they learn why sharks and rays are essential for healthy oceans and why it is important to protect these animals.
YEARS 7/8 AND LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL: BECOME A MARINE BIOLOGIST
During an interactive microscopy lesson, pupils delve into the fascinating micro-world of SEA LIFE. They discover how microscopes are used to study animals, monitor water quality and reveal microscopic marine life.
They then get to work themselves with real specimens. From cells and tissues to plankton and larvae: pupils explore life in the ocean just like real marine biologists.
