Beach Cleans

Hunstanton Primary Beach Clean

On the 30th September 2016 SEA LIFE Hunstanton teamed up with Hunstanton Primary School to clean litter around Old Hunstanton Beach. In total the team collected over 15kg of litter, a fantastic effort by the team and the children from our local school.

Diane Mapplebeck said "We had a fantastic time and the children are really proud that they were able to help. The SEA LIFE centre staff were brilliant, great with the children and very informative. Our newly formed ECO team is brimming with ideas about how we can improve our school, school grounds and local environment for both the wildlife and local community".

Who can get involved?

Everyone of all ages are welcome! From individuals looking to make a difference; to families, youth groups, student groups and local community groups, everyone is welcome to join us in helping to protect our native wildlife!

What do I need to bring to an event?

We provide any equipment necessary so volunteers only need to dress for the weather and bring their enthusiasm, protective gloves if they have them and a packed lunch if attending a beach clean.

What are the benefits of helping at an event?

You will have directly helped to protect our native aquatic creatures but as thanks, we provide all our volunteers with a free day entry ticket to our Sea Life centre!

How do I sign up?

To sign up to one of our local beach cleans, visit our Facebook page and check out our events page to register.

Covid-19 Update

As part of the Government’s containment plan for the COVID-19 coronavirus, we have been advised to temporarily close SEA LIFE Hunstanton - effective 20th March. The move is consistent with the closure of other leisure venues to prevent further outbreak. Please follow the link for further information and booking enquiries.
