Combining active, hands-on learning with fascinating educational talks and an opportunity to have an up close and personal view into our amazing aquatic world, a visit to Hunstanton SEA LIFE Sanctuary is an educational experience like no other.

COVID-19 UPDATE

On 20th March, in line with the Government’s response to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, we took the decision to close SEA LIFE Hunstanton. This decision was taken to protect the health and wellbeing of you, your teams, and our guests.
For any school that has paid for their visit between 21st March and 1st June 2020 and wishes to cancel a refund is available. We have something fun and inspirational for all ages!

Here at SEA LIFE Hunstanton we offer a truly unique alternative for your school trip, whilst fitting perfectly with the KS1 and KS2 curriculum! We also welcome Secondary school groups & Language Schools.

We make sure your pupils get up-close to the amazing creatures in our themed displays, ranging from native rivers and lakes to the deep ocean. After all, the more they see the more they'll learn.

Your class will come face-to-fin with a variety of different Sharks, learn to waddle with our Penguin colony of Humboldt Penguins and they'll be able to follow the journey of rehabilitating Seals in Norfolk's Only Seal Rescue Centre & Hospital open to visitors...but thats not all!

You're also free to attend our regular talks and feeding demonstrations throughout the day, this includes presentations about our spectacular Ocean Display, Seals, Native Rays & Sharks. School groups will also receive a private hands-on rockpool experience or a Rainforest Ranger Presentation*, where you can find out all of the amazing facts from a SEA LIFE expert, plus touch starfish, crab's or meet some jungle beasties and creepy crawlies. There's so much to see and learn at SEA LIFE Hunstanton!

*Rainforest Ranger encounters are only available September-April.

Rainforest Ranger Presentation

This fun and interactive session is designed to enable visitors, especially children, to learn about the rainforest and get really close to amazing rainforest creatures. One of our friendly rangers will guide your pupils around their basecamp, introducing them to incredible creepy crawlies and jungles beasties!

PRIMARY SCHOOL PACKAGES

Our primary school programme is perfect for introducing pupils to a range of scientific topics and encouraging excitement and curiosity about marine phenomena in the natural world. It has been designed to support several core elements of the National Curriculum for Key Stages 1 & 2.

What's Included?

  • Talk and feeding demonstrations
  • 30 minute Interactive Rockpool experience or a Rainfroest Ranger Presentation*
  • Dive Adventure Quiz trail
  • SEA LIFE Expert Certificate
  • Self-guided learning resource
  • 1 free teacher for every 5 paying children (Additional adults charged same as children).

*Rainforest Ranger presentations only available September - April

 

Prices:
Peak Times (June - July): £7.50 per child

Off Peak Times (September - May): £6.00 per child

SECONDARY SCHOOL PACKAGES

Our Secondary school programme is perfect for giving students further understanding of a range of scientific topics and encouraging excitement and curiosity about marine phenomena in the natural world. We understand that at this level your group may want a more in-depth understanding of the ocean world and learn about the scientific upkeep of our tanks and creatures the possibilities are endless – simply ring up and we will do our best to meet your need and create a unique package for you!

  • Self-guided learning resource

SEALIFE Centres win Best Venue for Science Learning 2016/17

In the first School Travel Awards 2016/17 SEA LIFE Centres were presented with their trophy for Best Venue for Science Learning! The awards recognise excellence and innovation made to learning outside of the classroom.
