SEA LIFE Scheveningen is looking for a new Aquarist! (m/f/x)

WHO ARE WE?

In SEA LIFE Scheveningen you discover our surprising underwater world without getting wet! While walking through different themed areas you will meet familiar fish like flounder and seahorses, but also rays, piranhas and starfish. You will experience what it is like to take a dive in the tropical seas when you walk through the oldest underwater tunnel in the Netherlands...including a sea turtle and 180,000 liters of water.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of our animals. In doing so, you will be involved in maintaining and developing extraordinary and surprising aquariums that exceed the expectations of our guests.

WHAT DO YOU BRING?

• You are committed, loyal and passionate
• You have proven skills as an animal keeper or aquarist
• You approach your work with a flexible attitude
• A strong work ethic and good knowledge of both marine and freshwater systems
• Experience in the aquarium or fish breeding industry is a plus
• Preferably you have prior experience in a public aquarium and some knowledge of Aquarium Life Support Systems (LSS)
• You have a valid driver's license
• You are both oral and written proficient in Dutch and English
• You are flexible (holidays and weekend days are no problem for you)
• You live within 40 minutes travel distance from Sea Life

As part of a very busy team, you are organized, physically fit and able to work with others. In addition, you enjoy sharing your knowledge with interested visitors, colleagues and do not hold back from various questions about your area of expertise.
