Arizona's Endangered fish

Local initiatives are important to the SEA LIFE Arizona Team. While enjoying our Freshwater exhibit, check out the small and fast moving desert pupfish. The SEA LIFE Arizona team successfully bred over 500 in the past year, from a starting population of just 30!

Did you know:

  • They can survive in salinity 60 parts per thousand when Ocean water is 30-35 parts per thousand
  • Desert Pupfish can survive in 100-113 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Their lifespan is 12-18 months, enough for one breeding cycle

We are excited to announce that we are NOW OPEN! We’ve missed our guests and are thrilled to once again have the opportunity to help them create magical memories. The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is our priority and we will take all necessary precautions to ensure their continued welfare. Please join us in creating a safe and enjoyable visit by reviewing our updated hours and operation guidelines.
