About the common starfish
- The common starfish is found in all European seas - except the Mediterranean Sea.
- It has five arms, on whose undersides it has suction discs with which the starfish moves forward.
- The starfish has neither a brain nor a heart. It also lacks eyes! But it has a nervous system and light sense cells on the tips of its arms, with which it can perceive light differences in its surroundings.
