This winter, discover a beautifully imagined Christmas experience set in over 5 acres of SEA LIFE Weymouth.
As daylight fades, follow an enchanting light walk through the grounds, transformed after dark through thousands of lights, immersive sound, projections and beautifully illuminated festive scenes. Take your time as the trail unfolds, with moments to discover around every corner.
Along the way, step into Christmas Cove for crafting activities and gingerbread decorating, before making your way to Father Christmas’ magical log cabin for a special visit with Father Christmas himself. There’s a thoughtfully chosen gift for each child included, and adults won’t leave empty handed either.
Selected aquarium displays will remain open throughout the evening, offering a welcome escape from the winter chill, while seasonal food, warming drinks and festive treats will be available to enjoy in Bandstand Bites and Christmas Coffee Co.
Your visit to Father Christmas is reserved for a specific time, but the rest of the evening is yours. Arrive as dusk settles and stay for as long as you wish. Wander beneath the lights, linger over something warm and enjoy Christmas unhurried. We’re sure this will be the start of a new Christmas tradition for many.
This specially ticketed event is hosted after the attraction closes for the day, with the evening beginning at 16:00 and ending at 20:00.

Christmas at SEA LIFE FAQ's
Christmas at SEA LIFE takes place on selected dates throughout November and December: 27th – 29th November, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th – 23rd December.
Yes. Christmas at SEA LIFE is a limited-capacity event and pre-booking is essential. We recommend booking early, particularly for our most popular dates and Father Christmas time slots. Our early bird pricing is available until 31st October.
Yes. Christmas at SEA LIFE is a separately ticketed special event, so all Annual Passholders will need to purchase an event ticket in advance. We do offer a discounted rate for both SEA LIFE and Merlin Annual Passholders.
Yes. All guests attending Christmas at SEA LIFE, including carers, require a valid event ticket.
Children attending the event must be accompanied by a parent or an adult with parental responsibility. Christmas at SEA LIFE is also a complete experience for everyone attending, with activities included for adults as well as children.
Where a guest requires additional support beyond that ordinarily provided by their accompanying parent or guardian (such as 2-1 care), please contact us before booking so we can discuss individual access requirements.

No. Christmas at SEA LIFE is a special after-dark experience rather than a standard visit to the attraction. Selected indoor aquarium displays will be open during the evening, offering the chance to explore and warm up along the way.
The evening is yours to enjoy. Your Father Christmas visit takes place at your reserved time, but there is no set duration for the rest of your experience. Once you’ve arrived, you’re welcome to stay until the event closes, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the light walk, Christmas Cove, selected aquarium displays and festive food and drink.
