Prepare to be star-mazed if you’re visiting SEA LIFE Blackpool this February half term as it officially launches Sea Stars, a brand new attraction featuring an eye-catching array of starfish from across the world’s oceans.
Guests will be able to get up close and personal with a variety of species of these fascinating creatures, including the Brittle Star, Chocolate Knobbed, Common Starfish, Spine Star, Goose Foot Star, Red Knobbed and Sun-Star, which can have up to twelve arms!
Housed in a range of impressive displays creating an ocean of dazzling stars, giant windows ensure fantastic visibility and visitors can get a close up view and discover the pop up bubbles and peek-a-boo holes in the attraction.
As well as marvelling at the variety of shapes, sizes and colours, guests will be mesmerised as the starfish wriggle their thousands of legs and move around their sandy new home in Blackpool.
Visitors will also discover little known facts about these underwater invertebrates which have been around for over 450 million years, such as their ability to regenerate lost limbs, project their stomachs to eat and the ability of some species to reproduce asexually!
Opens 10th February 2017!
