When you visit SEA LIFE Blankenberge you agree to the house rules of the attraction.

• Children under the age of 12 are only allowed access when accompanied by a paying adult aged 16 or over.
• Smoking and the consumption of narcotics are not permitted in SEA LIFE Blankenberge.
• It is not allowed - without supervision and permission from one of our employees - to put your hands in the water or to touch the fish.
• SEA LIFE Blankenberge is not liable for injuries caused by the animals or other parts of the attraction.
• Your visit to SEA LIFE Blankenberge - and all its facilities - is entirely at your own risk. SEA LIFE is not liable for injuries, loss and/or damage to your property.
• During your visit you must be in possession of a valid entrance ticket. You may be asked to show this.
• Appropriate clothing is required (wearing swimwear is not allowed).
• We use security cameras for your and our safety.
• It is not allowed to throw waste or other materials into the basins/accommodations.
• In the event of theft, we will contact the police.
• Dogs or other pets are not allowed in SEA LIFE (with the exception of a guide dog).

Promotions & Discounts

Promotional promotions are not valid in combination with other promotions and/or discounts. These are therefore not valid in combination with presale or online tickets. The maximum number of persons for which the promotion is valid and the expiry date are stated on the discount voucher. Free tickets or discount vouchers without an expiry date will not be accepted at the cash register.

Annual passes are only valid if they are signed by the holder. Identification is required when using an annual pass.

What these Terms cover

These are the Terms and conditions on which you licence to SEA LIFE Blankenberge, its subsidiaries, affiliates, licensees, its subcontractors, consultants and agents including without limitation Merlin Entertainments Limited (company number 08700412) (referred to as "attraction", "we" or "us") the use of the respective image and material (including photographs, audio and video material) (Content), which is owned or licensed by you in whatever medium or form and where we asked you if we could use the respective Content by commenting your Content.

 

Term of this licence

This licence shall commence on the date that you indicate your acceptance of these Terms by replying to our comment referencing these Terms with the hash tag #yesSeaLifeBlankenberge, agreeing to SEA LIFE Blankenberge's use of the Content, after SEA LIFE Blankenberge asked you for using your Content and acceptance of these Terms.

 

Grant of licence

In consideration of SEA LIFE Blankenberge displaying your Content on a website connected with SEA LIFE Blankenberge or any other website promoting SEA LIFE Blankenberge or posts on social media channels associated with SEA LIFE Blankenberge with that purpose,  you hereby unconditionally and irrevocably grant to SEA LIFE Blankenberge, a perpetual, non-exclusive, fully-transferable, royalty-free , worldwide, sub-licensable licence to use, copy, reproduce, modify, transmit, publish, edit, display and make derivative works of the Content on any media now known, or hereafter developed , in formats and contexts for any purpose for the promotion of the service or related business activities of SEA LIFE Blankenberge and the right to make commercial use of the Content and excerpts of the Content in advertisements for, and in marketing and promotional materials related to, SEA LIFE Blankenberge (the "Licensed Rights").

Which country's laws apply to any disputes?

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply for these Terms to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The statutory provisions on the restriction of the choice of law and on the applicability of mandatory provisions, in particular of the state in which you have your habitual residence as a consumer, shall remain unaffected.

 

Consent

Subject to the below, you have the right to withdraw your consent to the use of your Content at any time with effect for the future. If you wish to withdraw consent, please contact the email address in the Contact and Complaints clause below.

You acknowledge that whilst you can withdraw your consent and prevent the use of your Content in future projects, it may not be possible for your Content to be completely removed from some materials, including but not limited to, physical marketing materials already in circulation.
