An estimated 26 million tons of rubbish and plastic pollution finds its way into our oceans and poses a big threat to our marine creatures. Plastic bags, disposable cutlery, vapes, old phone covers, drink bottles, batteries… you name it, we’ve found it! The passionate team at SEA LIFE Blackpool conduct beach cleans throughout the year and we need your help!

How do I join a beach clean?

Take part in a SEA LIFE Blackpool Beach Clean in 2026! 

  • All equipment will be provided.
  • Please ensure you are dressed in weather appropriate clothing.
  • Meeting point opposite the SEA LIFE Centre by the RNLI.

Join us on the below dates to help keep our glorious coastline litter free to help protect the shoreline creatures and our environment.

2026 Beach Clean Dates

April: Sunday 26th 11am

May: Saturday 23rd 10am

June: Saturday 13th 12pm

July: Sunday 12th 12pm

July: Saturday 25th 11am

August: Sunday 9th 11am

August: Saturday 22nd 10am

August: Sunday 23rd 11am

September: Saturday 20th 10am

October: Sunday 4th 10am

Please note that in severe weather we may have to cancel.

We recommend you dress for the season and the weather. Remember you are going onto the beach so please wear appropriate footwear!

All equipment including litter grabbers, Hi-Vis vests, bin bags etc will be provided by SEA LIFE Blackpool.
