British Waters

Brrrrr! That's chilly.

Although it might not be a great home for us, there are plenty of creatures that live in our chilly waters.

Huge Humpback Whales dive through the waves, speedy Mako Sharks hunt for glittering blue Mackerel and hungry Leatherback Sea Turtles stop by each summer to fill up on Jellyfish.

But it's not all about the big stuff. Long and Short-Snouted Seahorses wiggle through the seagrass, warrior-like Spider Crabs roam along the seabed and shimmering Sand Eels flutter past in shape-shifting shoals.
