Raise money for Sea Otter Rescue!

Join us on Thursday 22nd September 2022 for an evening of fundraising for sea otters in Alaska. The evening will be a fun way to learn more about our resident sea otters, Ozzy and Ola!

Sea Otter

Meet Ozzy & Ola!

Ozzy & Ola are our two resident sea otters at the National SEA LIFE Centre in Birmingham. They are both Northern Sea Otters, which are listed as threatened on the IUCN red list.

Our sea otters were rescued by the Alaskan SEA LIFE, which is an incredible facility that rescues and rehabilitates marine mammals. Both otters were in the care of the Alaskan SEA LIFE Centre for 2 years before being transported to Birmingham. They arrived in style, flying by private jet and even had a police escort!

Ozzy

Ozzy is our male sea otter who is 4 years old and weighs 27kg! He was found just a few weeks old on Bishop Beach in Alaska. He is loves his food, especially squid, and is a bit of a perfectionist in his training sessions!

Ola

Ola is 6 months younger than Ozzy, and weighs around 22kg. She was found at just a few days old on a glacier. She is fussy with food, but her favourites are prawns. You might notice she never stays still, she likes to keep busy and on the go!
