Thames European Eel Project
The SEA LIFE London team support the Zoological Society of London's, Thames European Eel Project. This project helps to monitor the critically endangered species, uncover their secret breeding grounds and make the habitat more accessible with eel ladders.
European Otter Project
The SEA LIFE London team support the monitoring of local rivers and wetland for the European Otter. This research project supports the ongoing protection of local habitat.
Coral rehoming
Championing coral protection through education and conservation efforts, SEA LIFE London Aquarium is an official partner of UK Border Force and Heathrow Airport for coral quarantine, and the seizure and rehousing of corals that don’t have the correct paperwork by offering them a home at the attraction. As part of SEA LIFE’s Breed, Rescue, Protect programme, any permanently confiscated coral is placed into the quarantine area for proper care and nurturing.
Southbank Litter Picks
We're cleaning up our own backyard! The SEA LIFE London team run monthly litter picks helping to keep the Southbank riverside litter free so it stays out of our waterways, helping to keep animals like seals, turtles and whales safe.
