Claws Exhibit: Crab Facts, Habitat & Information
Giant Japanese Spider Crabs invade SEA LIFE Minnesota!
Japanese Spider Crabs can reach 12 feet across when fully grown, which is large enough to straddle a small car! They are just one of the many crustaceans featured in the new interactive ‘Claws’ exhibit.
Aquarists at SEA LIFE Minnesota will take added precautions while caring for the new Coconut Crabs, who earned their name by using their huge claws like bolt cutters to crack open coconuts. Additionally, guests will be in awe of Porcupine Crabs, Land Crabs, and more crustaceans from around the world!
Visitors can see how a crab’s claw works, get views from all angles (even underneath), and get a shocking close-up view of how they eat. Even the tanks are modeled after giant crabs in the all new exhibit!
Stop in to SEA LIFE Minnesota and visit the Claws exhibit for more facts & information on these interesting creatures.
