SWAP & SAVE @ Madame Tussauds - a clothes swapping event that will save your wallet and the environment all for a great cause!
Kelly Doust, the Crafty Minx will also join us for the swap so you could end up with some amazing vintage pieces
We'll also have a range of goodies up for auction on the night including:
- 1 hr flying lesson with Whitworth Flying School valued at $280
- Merlin Annual Pass for family of 4 valued at $265
- Shark Dive Encounter with Shark Dive Xtreme valued at $220
- Plus much, much more.
What:
150 women are invited to swap their favourite but no longer worn clothing items and find some new treasures. It's like going shopping FOR FREE! Bring up to 6 items of good quality, unstained clothing, accessories or shoes. These will be swapped for buttons that you then exchange for 'new' items.
Why:
100s of millions of kilos of fabric get tossed into landfill each year. We need to rethink how we can become more sustainable in all aspects of our lives to reduce the pressure on the environment. And swapping is a perfect, economical way to rejuvenate your wardrobe.
Where:
Madame Tussauds, Aquarium Ferry Wharf, Darling Harbour.
When:
Thursday 4th April 2013.
Time:
6pm arrival for a 7.15pm swap
Cost:
$30 entry. Includes swap, drink and nibbles.
All proceeds of the event will go to the SEA LIFE Trust, a non-profit marine conservation organisation, and Merlin Magic Wand helping sick or disabled kids experience a fun day at a Merlin Entertainments site of their choice.
The Clothing Exchange, an organisation dedicated to creating fun, successful events will be along to manage the swapping part of the event.
