Fun winter school holiday activities at SEA Life Sydney

The start of a new year is the perfect time to not only reflect on the last twelve months, but also look ahead to what you want to be celebrating when the clock strikes midnight in 2014.

New Year in Sydney

For some it is to quit bad habits, start living more healthy or perhaps finally take that trip to Europe they have always wanted. However two of our residents here at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium have reminded us there is one age-old New Year's resolution which will be experienced across the world - the creation of an unlikely friendship.

Our Giant Trevally - Big Trev - was moved into the Great Barrier Reef exhibit in August and despite some early problems with his new surroundings he has struck up a friendship with Goldy, our adult Golden Trevally. As Big Trev is over the twice the size of Goldy this is a pairing you would not expect to see swimming around playfully amongst the coral reefs but, as they say, a new year is a time to try new things!

Looking for something to do this summer in Sydney?

So if you are searching for inspiration this forthcoming year, come down to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and revel in the adorable friendship between Big Trev and Goldy - and maybe even make a resolution about unlikely friendships!
