NEW: Weedy Sea Dragons

Making their public debut these Easter School Holidays, four baby Weedy Sea Dragons are making a splash at Sydney Aquarium!

These little guys - who are all siblings - have just arrived from Melbourne Aquarium and are a great achievement after being born and bred onsite as the aquarium is one of only a few in the world that has been successful in breeding the near-threatened Weedy Sea Dragons in captivity.

Closely related to the seahorse, the Weedy Sea Dragons are distinct in behaviour as well as their magnificent colourful and weedy appearance.

Weedy Sea Dragons are unique to Australia and are found in our very own Sydney Harbour, with a known colony also located right near the airport at Botany Bay. But they're easier to see here at Sydney Aquarium!
