Tickets & Passes

Due to limited capacity allocations, we encourage all guests to pre-purchase tickets online.

By purchasing online via this website - the official SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's website - you can:

    • Guaranteed entry on the preferred time slot

    • Fast-track entry to the attraction with an online mobile ticket

Tickets are available for purchase on the day at the attraction by contactless card (EFTPOS/Credit Card), providing you have a time slot booked. Book your time slot here.

Off-peak refers to weekdays during non-school holidays period. 

Day tickets are the various general admission tickets available for your visit to SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's. These included non-dated fully flexible tickets, discounted online savers where you need to select a date and time for your visit and a range of bundled admission + experience options.

Yes! Admission to SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's for children 0-2 years old is free when accompanied by an adult ticket or pass holder.

No. Child 15yrs and under must enter the attraction with an adult (16 years and above) and be supervised by an adult at all times for safety reasons.

As our experiences at SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's run on specific days and times, the recipient of an experience gift voucher will be required to follow the booking link provided on their gift voucher to reserve their spot. Contact operations@kellytarltons.co.nz if assistance is required.

Yes, we offer free admission if you are visiting on your birthday! Please ensure you have a photo ID with you to proof your D.O.B.

If your birthday falls on a day that we are close (Tue/Wed), you can visit the day prior or after your birthday (Mon/Thur) to enjoy the special treat. Valid Photo ID is required. 

No, unfortunately we are not able to extend the special deal in this instance.

Use the 'Ticket Pre-book' option to reserve a space.  Then present your ID when you arrive at our Admissions Desk.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure to make a General Admission booking online for anyone accompanying the birthday person.

Gift Card is a third party product, and can only be redeemed on-site at the admissions desk. 

Please use the 'Ticket Pre-book' option to reserve your spot and present the Gift Card on arrival.

Please note Gift Cards cannot be used at any other parts of the attraction including Cafe and Gift Shop.

Our Animal Experiences are currently suspended during Red Traffic Light Setting. All existing vouchers will be honoured until 31 October 2022.

If you are trying to select a date and there are no time slots available, this unfortunately means we are sold out and there are no tickets left.

 

We encourage all guests to book in advance, as we often sell out during our busy periods such as mornings, weekends, school holidays and public holidays.

Promotional Offers

On the Tickets & Passes page, click on General Admission Ticket, then click on "Menu" on the top left hand corner. Enter the Promo Code where it says "Enter Promotional Code", click on the magnifying glass icon.

 

IMPORTANT: Please ensure that you DO NOT click redeem until you arrive the attraction.  The Promo code is visible WITHOUT clicking redeem.

On Desktop: Click on General Admission Ticket, then click on the "Promo Code" tab on the blue bar and enter the Promo Code, click on "Submit".

On Mobile Phone: Click on General Admission Ticket, then click on "Menu" on the top left hand corner. Enter the Promo Code where it says "Enter Promotional Code", click on the magnifying glass icon.

Annual Passes

The Merlin Annual Pass (AU/NZ) is a multi attraction pass that brings together all of Merlin's attractions, offering pass-holders HUGE savings for a full year to all of the included attractions. We are totally confident no other passes offer anything like as much value - because no-one else can!

Others

No, SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's is now 'cashless'. We want to optimise the ability for card payments to be taken preferentially (as this avoids staff having to come into close contact with paying customers).

In New Zealand there is no legal obligation for a retailer to accept cash. The only legal obligation is for the Government to accept cash in the form of taxes and to be able to pay off your debts in New Zealand dollars.

SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's can get busy during peak periods so there may be queues in these periods. We strongly recommend selecting the 'Print@Home and Mobile Ticket' option when purchasing your tickets online. Please download your ticket barcodes prior to walking down the ramp. Then just head straight to our attraction entry points and scan your ticket!

Yes, you can park at SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's. However, there are limited spaces and during peak periods the car park can become full. We recommend alternative transport options during these periods such as public buses.

We have removed the Penguin ride in order to give the Penguin colony more room on the ice. Now you can get even closer to the cheeky Gentoo and regal King Penguins.
